For those of you running an online store on WordPress, we’ve prepared a solution to provide the best possible data for your campaigns – the FAVI XML Feed Plugin.
This plugin, designed to generate a feed in the specification processed by FAVI (Heureka), is completely free. To use it, you’ll first need to have the free WooCommerce plugin installed, as our plugin is linked to it. You can download the WooCommerce plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/
How to install the FAVI XML Feed plugin?
There are two ways to install the plugin:
Installation and activation via the administration
- Download the plugin
- Go to your WordPress administration, specifically to the “Plugins” section
- Click “Add New Plugin” in the plugin administration area, then “Upload Plugin”
- Upload the plugin zip file
- Go back to the plugins administration and activate “FAVI XML feed”
- Your plugin is now installed and activated
Installation and activation via FTP

What features does plugin have?
With the correct settings, the plugin can generate all mandatory elements and most of the recommended ones. This plugin is ideal for clients who do not use XML feed editing systems and whose current generator does not provide sufficient data for a quality campaign. The list of all elements that our system processes can be found in this article.
Language settings
You can set the language of the country where you operate your e-shop. Based on this setting, the feed will be generated in the corresponding language (category names, currency).
Downloading categories from your e-shop
After the plugin is activated, each WooCommerce category contains a new select-type section. In this section, you’ll first select the country where you operate your e-shop, and then choose a category from the FAVI category tree that best matches yours. The selected category’s value will be saved in the metadata and reflected in the XML feed as <CATEGORYTEXT>.
Setting delivery date
In the Basic Settings tab of the FAVI XML Feed plugin, you can set the delivery time (in days) for each product in the feed within the <DELIVERY_DATE> element. The value must always be a whole number (not a range or list). The value will be applied to each product in the feed.
Setting delivery options
In the Basic Settings tab, within the Transport settings section, you’ll find a repeating field for entering the shipping method, shipping cost, and cash-on-delivery cost. You can collectively set different shipping types – carrier and cost – which will then appear in the XML feed as the <DELIVERY> element.
Shipping method and shipping cost are mandatory, while cash-on-delivery cost is optional. If left blank, it will not appear in the feed.
Fields to complete:
- Select carrier (mandatory) – choose the carrier providing product delivery
- Shipping cost (mandatory) – enter a numerical value, including the currency
- Cash-on-delivery cost (optional) – enter a numerical value, including the currency
Adding manufacturer to products
In each WooCommerce product’s data section, there is a “Favi” tab. There you’ll find a field for the FAVI Manufacturer, where you can enter or edit the manufacturer of a product. This information will be included in the feed as <MANUFACTURER>.
Downloading alternative images
Within your WooCommerce products, there’s a gallery (product images) from which image links are included in the feed as the <IMGURL_ALTERNATIVE> element.
Adding GTIN codes (FAVI EAN) to products
In each WooCommerce product’s data section, under the “Favi” tab, you’ll find a field for FAVI EAN, where you can enter or edit the GTIN (EAN) code for each product. This can then be generated into the XML feed within the FAVI XML Feed plugin as the <EAN> element.
GTIN (EAN) value settings
In the Basic Settings tab of the FAVI XML Feed plugin, in the EAN section, you can choose one of three ways to obtain GTIN (EAN) values for the products in the feed:
- FAVI EAN – Use this option to get the EAN from your e-shop. If you do not know or have GTIN (EAN) codes, select this option. This will use the value entered manually for WooCommerce products in the “Favi” tab. If the value is empty, the <EAN> element will not appear.
- Custom Field – Here, another text field appears where you need to enter the exact name of the custom field key (meta_key). This allows you to select a field from another plugin where the GTIN (EAN) value is already filled in.
- WooCommerce Catalog number – Use this option only if your WooCommerce SKU matches the official GTIN product code.
Generator
In this tab, you can generate the complete XML feed, whose link can then be sent to your account manager.
